Apr 12, 2007, 18:10 GMT
Chicago, IL - DePaul sophomore Wilson Chandler announced Thursday he intends to declare himself eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft.
'After careful consideration, I have decided to enter my name in the 2007 NBA Draft,' Chandler said. 'This decision did not come easy for me because of my feelings for DePaul University. Coach Jerry Wainwright, my family and I have talked about my future and together we all decided this was the best decision for me at this time based upon personal circumstances.'
The 6-foot-8 native of Benton Harbor, Michigan led DePaul in scoring (14.6 ppg), rebounding (6.9 rpg) and blocked shots (47) last season, earning second team All-Big East Conference honors. The Blue Demons ended the year at 20-14, reaching the NIT quarterfinal round.
