Mar 26, 2007, 20:50 GMT
Fargo, ND - North Dakota State has named Saul Phillips its new men's basketball coach.
Phillips had spent the past three seasons as an assistant with the Bison and takes over for Tim Miles, who left last week to fill the vacancy at Colorado State.
This will mark the first head coaching job for the 34-year-old Phillips, who also spent time as the director of basketball operations at Wisconsin and was an assistant coach at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Lake Superior State.
North Dakota State, playing as an independent, finished the 2006-07 season with a record of 20-8, including a stunning victory over Marquette.
