College Station, TX - Joseph Jones had 21 points and five steals as 10th-ranked Texas A&M smoked Iowa State, 73-49, to remain perfect at Reed Arena.
Acie Law and Antanas Kavaliauskas each scored 13 points, while Law had seven assists and Kavaliauskas seven rebounds for the Aggies (18-3, 6-1 Big 12), who improved to 15-0 as the host this season.
Wesley Johnson scored 17 points and Mike Taylor had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Cyclones (11-10, 2-5), who have dropped five in a row after a four-game winning streak.
The Aggies were all over Iowa State from the start, scoring the first 11 points of the game, capped by Dominique Kirk's three at the 3:30 mark of the first half. Then, after Jessan Gray's trey finally got the Cyclones on the board, Kavaliauskas responded with a three of his own and Jones hit two free throws before throwing down a dunk to hand the Aggies an 18-3 lead.
Texas A&M took a 39-23 lead into the locker room and pulled away in the second half courtesy of a 22-6 run over a nine-minute span.
