Seattle, WA - Justin Dentmon scored 23 points as 16th-ranked Washington beat Eastern Washington, 90-83, in a surprisingly close contest.
Dentmon shot 7-of-12 from the floor and went 8-for-8 from the free throw line for the Huskies (5-0), who have won 19 consecutive regular season non- conference games.
Quincy Pondexter scored 15 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Washington, while Adrian Oliver had 14 points and nine boards.
Rodney Stuckey poured in a game-high 31 points for the Eagles (2-3), who went 7-of-29 from beyond the arc.
Omar Krayem's three pointer put EWU up 77-75 with just over five minutes to play, but the Huskies responded with a 9-1 run that put Washington up for good.
The spurt was capped by Dentmon's trey with just over two minutes remaining that made it 84-79 and the Eagles got no closer than four the rest of the way.
EWU led 47-35 with just over three minutes left in the first half, but Washington closed the half with an 11-0 run and pulled to within 47-46 on Oliver's three pointer before time expired.
