Austin, TX - Wide receiver Billy Pittman, linebacker Sergio Kindle and defensive end Henry Melton have been reinstated to the Texas football team, head coach Mack Brown said Monday.

All three should be available to play on Saturday when No. 7 Texas takes on Rice.

Pittman was suspended for three games after the university determined he had received improper benefits. Kindle and Melton each earned three-game suspensions at the start of training camp after arrests over the summer for drunken driving.

Pittman has 69 catches for 1,206 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two seasons.

'It will be a lot better to get all three of those young men back,' said Brown 'They all had severe penalties for what they did. They have handled it really well. They have practiced well. I know they are very excited about coming back, and we need it.'
