Baton Rouge, LA - Keiland Williams had a pair of touchdowns as second-ranked LSU destroyed ninth-ranked Virginia Tech, 48-7, at Tiger Stadium. Williams finished with 126 yards on just seven carries while Jacob Hester finished with 81 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown for the Tigers (2-0), who have scored 93 points in their first two contests. Matt Flynn went 17- for-27 for 217 yards and a rushing touchdown. Tyrod Taylor went 7-for-18 for 62 yards and added nine rushes for 44 yards and the only touchdown for the Hokies (1-1), who beat the Tigers in the only other meeting with the team in 2002 in Blacksburg. It was the greatest margin of defeat for Virginia Tech since 1982. The game had a total of 747 yards in offense, 598 of which came from LSU.

Huntington, WV - Pat White threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for a score, as third-ranked West Virginia visited state rival Marshall for the first time in 92 years and left with a tougher-than-expected 48-23 victory. White completed 13-of-18 passes for 149 yards and added 125 yards on the ground for the Mountaineers (2-0), who trailed 13-6 at halftime but pulled away with the help of six second-half touchdowns. Steve Slaton chipped in 146 rushing yards with a pair of second-half scoring runs in the victory. Darius Reynaud was White's primary target, catching eight passes for 126 yards with two scores, while Noel Devine ran for a pair of touchdowns in the second-half outburst. Bernard Morris threw for 256 yards on 19-of-29 passing with a pair of touchdowns and no interceptions for Marshall (0-2), which rebounded with a nice effort after last week's 31-3 season-opening drubbing at the hands of Miami-Florida. Darius Marshall ran for 80 yards in defeat, while Cody Slate and Darius Passmore each caught five passes with one for a touchdown.

Gainesville, FL - Tim Tebow threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores as the fourth-ranked Florida Gators routed the Troy Trojans, 59-31. Tebow went 18-of-25 passing for 236 yards. He also rushed 17 times for 93 yards. Cornelius Ingram caught seven balls for 105 yards and a touchdown and Kestahn Moore ran for 78 yards and a touchdown for Florida (2-0), which scored on all seven of its first half possessions Troy starting quarterback Omar Haugabook finished 29-of-52 passing for 283 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. He also ran for two touchdowns and Austin Silvoy caught two touchdown passes for Troy (0-2).

Norman, OK - Sam Bradford threw for 205 yards with a school- record tying five touchdowns, leading fifth-ranked Oklahoma to a 51-13 rout of Miami-Florida in the renewal of an old rivalry at Memorial Stadium. Bradford, coming off last week's three-touchdown effort in a 79-10 blowout of North Texas, completed 19-of-25 passes and was not intercepted. He matched the school mark of five TDs, accomplished three times by Jason White and twice by Josh Heupel. Malcolm Kelly hauled in four passes for 102 yards with three scores for the Sooners (2-0). Oklahoma also had a stellar defensive effort, limiting Miami to a total of 139 yards. The Hurricanes (1-1), who beat Marshall in their opener last week, had just one first down and 43 yards in the second half. Kyle Wright threw for just 65 yards, completing only half of his 14 passes for Miami. Starter Kirby Freeman was just 3-of-9 for 17 yards. The 51 points allowed were the most by Miami since a 66-13 loss to Syracuse on November 28, 1998.

Las Vegas, NV - Senior quarterback Tyler Donovan's spectacular 29-yard touchdown run with 1:53 remaining in regulation helped the fifth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers survive a scare against UNLV, 20-13, at Sam Boyd Stadium. Donovan completed 14-of-26 passes for 138 yards with one touchdown and carried six times for 53 yards while adding the game- deciding score for Wisconsin (2-0), which won for the 11th consecutive time dating back to last season. P.J. Hill dominated the running game, carrying 30 times for 147 yards. Travis Beckum caught six passes for 66 yards, Garrett Graham ended with two receptions for 11 yards and a TD, and Taylor Mehlhaff chipped in with a pair of field goals for the Badgers. Travis Dixon completed 23-of-36 passes for 258 yards, with one touchdown and one interception for UNLV (1-1), which failed to capitalize on last week's victory over Utah State. Casey Flair led the receiving corps with 10 catches for 126 yards and a score, and Sergio Aguayo booted field goals of 25 and 35 yards.

Fort Collins, CO - DeSean Jackson and Jahvid Best each had long touchdown runs, as 10th-ranked California withstood a late rally to beat Colorado State, 34-28. Jackson scored on a 73-yard run in the first quarter while Best scored on a 64-yard scamper in the fourth for the Golden Bears (2-0), who were coming off a 45-31 win over Tennessee last week. Cal quarterback Nate Longshore completed 19-of-29 passes for 146 yards while Justin Forsett had 13 carries for 59 yards and a score. Caleb Hanie threw for 301 yards on 21-of-30 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions for the Rams (0-2), who have lost nine straight dating back to last year. Kyle Bell rushed for 102 yards and 26 carries with two touchdowns for Colorado State, which trailed 34-14 in the fourth quarter before rallying to make it a one-possession game.

Rod Schoenhoft finished 6-of-8 for 36 yards, but also lost a fumble for Ohio State, which committed five turnovers on the contest. Chris Jacquemain started under center for the Zips (1-1), completing 12-of-21 passes for 48 yards, while Carlton Jackson finished 5-of-10 for 18 yards. Jackson was Akron's leading rusher with 10 yards, as the Zips were held to only three net rushing yards.

Los Angeles, CA - Tom Blake jumped on a key fourth-quarter fumble by Max Hall, and 13th-ranked UCLA held off a pesky BYU squad, 27-17, at the Rose Bowl. Bruins quarterback Ben Olson had a shaky outing, completing just 13-of-28 passes for 126 yards with one interception for UCLA (2-0). Kahlil Bell shouldered a fair portion of the ground game, but was helped out by a strong effort from senior running back Chris Markay. Bell carried 16 times for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Markey also had 16 carries for 50 yards and a score. Hall completed 30-of-52 passes for 391 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception for BYU (1-1), which had an 11-game win streak halted. Austin Collie led all receivers with seven catches for 79 yards and two TDs, while Harvey Unga paced the ground attack with a paltry five carries for 28 yards.

University Park, PA - Austin Scott rushed 28 times for 116 yards and two touchdowns, as 14th-ranked Penn State routed Notre Dame, 31-10. Highly touted freshman Jimmy Clausen, making his debut as a starter for the Fighting Irish (0-2), struggled to a 17-for-32, 144-yard performance, with no touchdowns and an interception. The anemic Notre Dame offense scored only three points, as Darrin Walls' 73-yard interception return produced the only touchdown. The Fighting Irish have been outscored 64-13 in two games, and have a total of negative-eight yards rushing on the season. The Golden Domers will try to crack into the win column when they travel to rival Michigan next week. The Fighting Irish and the Wolverines are both 0-2 for the first time ever. Anthony Morelli completed 12-of-22 passes for 131 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Penn State (2-0). Derrick Williams had a 78-yard punt return for a touchdown, and Jordan Norwood added three catches for 20 yards and a score for the Nittany Lions.

Winston-Salem, NC - Zackary Bowman came up with a huge fourth-quarter interception of Brett Hodges, and 16th-ranked Nebraska survived to beat Wake Forest, 20-17. Cornhuskers quarterback Sam Keller had a shaky outing, completing 24-of-41 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown and two interceptions for Nebraska (2-0), which will now focus its attention on next week's matchup with top-ranked USC. Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan got the win after signing a new five-year contract on Tuesday that will keep him in Lincoln through the 2012 season. Hodges, starting in place of injured starter Riley Skinner, completed just 12- of-24 passes for 140 yards for the Demon Deacons (0-2), who were looking to rebound from a 38-28 loss to Boston College.

Auburn, AL - Matt Grothe's 14-yard touchdown pass to Jessie Hester Jr. in overtime boosted South Florida to a 26-23 upset of 17th-ranked Auburn. Wes Byrum kicked a 39-yard field goal on a low trajectory on Auburn's possession of the OT, and the Bulls faced a 4th-and-1 at the Tigers 16. Grothe moved the pile on a QB sneak for a yard, and two plays later, he passed to the left side to Hester, the son of former NFL player Jessie Hester. There was spacing between the wide receiver and safety Eric Brock, and Hester made the catch cleanly and scored easily. Grothe finished 18-of-27 passing for 184 yards and also ran for a score for South Florida (2-0), which beat Elon in its opener a week ago. Mike Ford ran for 74 yards and a touchdown for the Bulls, who won despite four missed field goals from Delbert Alvarado. That included one block, but his 18-yarder with 55 seconds left forced 0overtime. Brandon Cox connected on 16-of-35 passes for 165 yards and a TD with a pair of interceptions for Auburn (1-1), who topped Kansas State last week. Mario Fannin rushed for 62 yards and a TD in defeat as the Tigers had five turnovers.

Ruston, LA - Gerard Lewis knocked down the potential game- winning two-point conversion pass in the end zone, as 20th-ranked Hawaii downed Louisiana Tech, 45-44, in overtime. Hawaii's Heisman Trophy candidate Colt Brennan had another outstanding contest, keeping his team in a game it trailed by 14 points early in the first quarter. The senior signal-caller finished 43-of-61 passing for 548 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for a score for the Warriors (2-0, 1-0 WAC), who have scored a combined 108 points in their first two games. Jason Rivers was one of three Warrior receivers who benefited from Brennan's big day. Rivers ended with 14 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown. Ryan Grice-Mullins added nine receptions for 162 yards and two scores and Devone Bess had 10 catches for 118 yards with a TD. Zac Champion ended 23-of-36 passing for 187 yards with two touchdowns for the Bulldogs (1-1, 0-1), who decided to go for the win instead of trying to force another overtime session. Patrick Jackson had 98 yards and two touchdowns rushing for La. Tech, which has lost five of the six all-time meetings against the Warriors.

Atlanta, GA - Tashard Choice rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, part of a Yellow Jacket rushing attack that gained 389 yards on the ground, as No. 21 Georgia Tech had no trouble in a 69-14 victory over Samford. One week after lighting up Notre Dame for a career-high 196 yards and two scores, Choice was at it again with a pair of first- quarter touchdowns. Jonathan Dwyer ran for 71 yards and a pair of scores in relief of the star back. Taylor Bennett was an efficient 8-of-9 for 85 yards as the Yellow Jackets (2-0) rolled from the outset. Jefferson Adcock completed just 7-of-19 passes for 45 yards and Chris Evans ran for 49 yards in the loss. Samford (1-1) recorded only 240 total yards to 498 for Georgia Tech.

Seattle, WA - Jake Locker threw for a touchdown and ran for another, as Washington defeated 22nd-ranked Boise State, 24-10, at Husky Stadium. Locker completed 13-of-25 passes for 193 yards with an interception and ran for a team-high 84 yards for Washington (2-0), which is perfect heading into next Saturday's game against Ohio State. Marcel Reece added four catches for 102 yards and a touchdown for the Huskies, who have won three straight dating back to last season. Ian Johnson was held to only 81 yards rushing for Boise State (1-1), which saw its nation's best winning streak end at 14 games. Johnson lost a fumble and quarterback Taylor Tharp was picked off three times, as the Broncos committed a total of four turnovers in suffering their first setback since falling to Boston College 27-21 on December 28, 2005 in the Holiday Bowl. Tharp ended 29-of-47 passing for 285 yards and ran for a score.

College Station, TX - Jorvorskie Lane finished with 121 yards and four touchdowns rushing as 23rd-ranked Texas A&M held on for a 47-45 triple-overtime victory over Fresno State at Kyle Field. Stephen McGee completed 13-of-24 passes for just 79 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 124 yards for the Aggies (2-0), who avoided a possible letdown after defeating Montana State in their opener last weekend. Tom Brandstater threw for 260 yards with three touchdowns and an interception on 21-of-31 passing for the Bulldogs (1-1), who trailed 19-0 at halftime but scored 29 points in the second half to send the game into overtime. Bear Pascoe finished with seven catches for 70 yards and three touchdowns in defeat.

Austin Rogers caught seven passes for 112 yards and a score for the Vols, who led by just one point at halftime. Jeremy Young threw for 254 yards with a touchdown and interception on 19-of-36 passing for the Golden Eagles (1-1), who managed to score just three points in the second half.

Clemson, SC - Cullen Harper threw a school-record five touchdown passes to lead 25th-ranked Clemson to a 49-26 victory over Louisiana-Monroe at Memorial Stadium. Harper completed 20-of-26 passes for 270 yards and his touchdown total eclipsed the record of four, set 10 times by five players. The last to accomplish the feat was Charlie Whitehurst, who did it four times, the last in 2003 against South Carolina. C.J. Spiller had four catches for 87 yards with a score for Clemson (2-0), which had no letdown after opening its season with a 24-18 victory over Florida State this past Monday. James Davis added 68 yards and a touchdown on the ground in the victory. Calvin Dawson was the lone bright spot for Louisiana-Monroe (0-2), rushing for 121 yards with a touchdown on 28 carries. Kinsmon Lancaster threw for 139 yards with a score, completing just 11-of-26 passes in defeat.
