Tar Heels LB Rice lost for season

Chapel Hill, NC - North Carolina outside linebacker Chase Rice will undergo surgery on his injured ankle and miss the rest of the season.Rice suffered the injury in the first half of the Tar Heels' 37-14 win over James Madison. Freshman Bruce Carter will start in his place Saturday against East Carolina.'I'm disappointed for Chase and for our program,' said North Carolina head coach Butch Davis.
