Fayetteville, AR - A pair of Arkansas juniors, cornerback Chris Houston and defensive end Jamaal Anderson, entered their names into the pool of eligible players for the 2007 National Football League Draft on Sunday.
Houston finished the 2006 season with 45 tackles, a team-high three interceptions and 13 pass breakups. He also forced a pair of fumbles on the season and was named to the All-Southeastern Conference team.
'Chris Houston has decided to forgo his senior season and put his name in for the NFL draft,' Arkansas coach Houston Nutt said. 'I know playing in the NFL has always been a dream for Chris. We were hopeful that he would play one more year in a Razorback uniform before that happened, but he and his family have decided now is the time to make that jump.'
Anderson earned first-team All-SEC honors and honorable mention All-America honors for the Razorbacks. He finished sixth on the squad with 65 tackles and led the SEC in sacks with 13 1/2.
