Hokies' Ellis, Morgan suspended for upcoming game
Sep 25, 2006, 21:00 GMT
Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech head football coach Frank Beamer announced on Monday that junior defensive end Chris Ellis and junior wide receiver Josh Morgan have been suspended for the Hokies' upcoming game with Georgia Tech due to a violation of team policy.
Beamer, however, failed to elaborate on the situation.
Ellis, a Hampton, Virginia native, started the first four games this season and totaled 12 tackles and one sack. Morgan, meanwhile, has caught 10 balls for 161 yards and two touchdowns, making him the second-leading receiver on the team. The Washington, DC native also has blocked two punts this season.
There has been no announcement concerning replacement starters at this point.
