Statesboro, GA - Teddy Craft, an accomplished wide receiver and return specialist entering his senior season at Georgia Southern, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on the Fourth of July near Statesboro.
Craft was taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center then airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. The 22-year-old Craft was declared dead on Thursday.
'This is a shocking, sad day for the entire Georgia Southern community. We want to extend our thoughts and prayers out to Teddy's family in their time of grief,' said Georgia Southern head football coach Brian VanGorder. 'Teddy was a great teammate, well liked by all.'
