German Kaymer loses number one ranking
Apr 24, 2011, 9:41 GMT
Berlin - German golfer Martin Kaymer will lose his number one golf ranking on Monday after Lee Westwood on Sunday won the Indonesian Masters.
Westwood, a former world number one, who turned 38 on Sunday, gave himself the best birthday present with a three-shot victory at the Royal Jakarta Golf club over Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee.
The Briton however, is not yet guaranteed of being the number one when the new rankings are released on Monday as his compatriot Luke Donald could eclipse him.
Donald is leading the The Heritage tournament being played on Hilton Head Island in the US by a shot from defending champion Jim Furyk going into the last round and victory for the 33-year-old would see him take over as the world's top ranked player.
Kaymer, who has not played since missing the cut at the Masters in Augusta earlier this month, topped the rankings for eight weeks after taking over from Westwood.
