Trevor Immelman fired four rounds in the 60s to collect a two-stroke win over Tiger Woods and Mathew Goggin at the 103rd Western Open last year. Immelman has qualified for the BMW Championship and will be at Cog Hill.The Western Open has morphed into the BMW Championship, the third of four events in the FedEx Cup playoffs.Cog Hill hosted the final 16 Western Opens and it will host this week. However, starting in 2008, the event will rotate among several high-profile courses throughout the Midwest.In 2008, the event will be played at Bellerive Country Club, return to Chicago in 2009 and every second year thereafter. The only other course set at this time is Crooked Stick Golf Club, which will host in 2010.The Golf Channel covers the first two days before NBC broadcasts action of the two weekend rounds.The final FedEx Cup Playoff event, the Tour Championship, is next week.EUROPEAN TOUROMEGA EUROPEAN MASTERS, Crans-sur-Sierre, Crans Montana, Switzerland - Last year, Bradley Dredge scorched Crans-sur-Sierre for four rounds in the 60s, with his opening 68 his worst score of the week.Dredge shot 17-under and won by eight over two players for his second tour title. Only five players have won this crown two straight years and the last time it happened was in the late 1970s. Dredge is one of nine former champions scheduled to compete this week.Jamie Spence came from 10 shots back on the final day to win here in 1992, setting a tour record for largest comeback win. That record was matched by Paul Lawrie at the '99 British Open Championship.Crans-sur-Sierre has hosted this event every year dating back to 1939 and is hosting for the 61st time in all.The Golf Channel will cover all four rounds. Next week is the Mercedes-Benz Championship, a new event on the schedule.LPGA TOURLPGA NW ARKANSAS CHAMPIONSHIP, Pinnacle Country Club, Rogers, Arkansas - The LPGA takes on a new 54-hole event this week with the LPGA NW Arkansas Championship.This is the final event before the Solheim Cup, reflected in those who are and are not playing this week. Just five of the top-10 on the money list and 12 of the top 20 are scheduled to play.World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa remains on a break from the tour, while four of the others in the top 20 who are missing the event are scheduled to play at the Solheim Cup.The Golf Channel will broadcast coverage of all three rounds.Next week is the Solheim Cup at Halmstad Golf Club in Halmstad, Sweden. The United States won the 2005 Solheim Cup 15 1/2 - 12 1/2 at Crooked Stick.NATIONWIDE TOURUTAH ENERGY SOLUTIONS CHAMPIONSHIP, Willow Creek Country Club, Sandy, Utah - Craig Kanada only needed a one-under 71 in the final round last year to overtake third-round leader Bryce Molder and win the Utah Energy Solutions Championship.Kanada's win marked the 11th straight come-from-behind winner last year. It also helped him finish 11th on the money list, which gave him his PGA Tour card for 2007.Willow Creek Country Club is hosting for the ninth straight year.The Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds. The Nationwide Tour remains out west next week for the Oregon Classic, where Cliff Kresge won last year.FUTURES TOURILOVENY CHAMPIONSHIP, Capital Hills at Albany, Albany, New York - The Duramed Futures Tour wraps up its season this week with the ILOVENY Championship.Last year, Ji Min Jeong stumbled to a one-over 72 in the final round, but it was enough for the win. Charlotte Mayorkas shot 69 on the final day to end one back.The top-five on the money list after this event earn their LPGA Tour cards for 2008. The top-five right now are Emily Bastel, Violeta Retamoza, Seo-Jae Lee, Mollie Fankhauser and Allison Fouch.The next five are Liz Janangelo, Brandi Jackson, Vikki Laing, Ha Na Chae and Janell Howland.© 2007 The Sports Network
