Aug 7, 2006, 19:00 GMT
Philadelphia, PA - Tiger Woods won the Buick Open on Sunday and extended his lead over Phil Mickelson in the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
Woods now has 18.98 average points, while No. 2 Mickelson has 9.69 points. The win for Woods was his 50th in just his 196th tour start. He leads Mickelson by 1.10 average points more than a week ago.
Behind the top two, there was little change. Vijay Singh followed at No. 3 and was trailed by Buick runner-up Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen, Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Geoff Ogilvy and Sergio Garcia.
The first change came in the 10th spot where David Howell inched up one place and bumped fellow Englishman Luke Donald down to 11th.
David Toms, Chris DiMarco, Trevor Immelman, Colin Montgomerie and Jose Maria Olazabal remained in positions 12 through 16.
Padraig Harrington and Henrik Stenson exchanged spots, with the Irishman up to 17th this week. Tim Clark and Darren Clarke rounded out the top 20.
