Stuttgart - Two-times reigning Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel will receive Germany's highest sports award, the silver bay laurel leaf, next week.
Vettel's spokeswoman told dpa on Wednesday that Vettel will receive the award on Friday, February 24, from German President Christian Wulff in Berlin. The Red Bull driver will come to Berlin from pre-season tests in Barcelona.
Vettel, 24, became the youngest F1 champion in 2010 and the youngest to repeat last season. The only other German F1 driver to get the award is record world champion Michael Schumacher.
