Raikkonen back behind F1 car wheel
Jan 23, 2012, 15:10 GMT
Berlin - Kimi Raikkonen got into a Formula One car again on Monday, driving his first laps in a 2010 Renault car to get ready for his return to the sport at the team now named Lotus.
Raikkonen, who won the 2007 world title with Ferrari, drove training laps in Valencia, Spain, to get himself acquainted with the team and F1 racing again after originally quitting in 2009.
The 32-year-old Finn was scheduled for two days of training Monday and Tuesday.
The first of three official pre-season tests starts on February 7, two days after the planned unveiling of the new Lotus model. The 2012 campaign starts on March 18 in Australia.
