Report: Kubica returns home after leg surgery
Jan 16, 2012, 15:14 GMT
Berlin - Polish Formula One driver Robert Kubica has returned to his Monte Carlo home after leg surgery in the wake of a fall, the autosport.com website said on Monday.
The report said that Kubica was told by doctors to rest for at least two weeks before continuing rehabilitation on injuries sustained in a rally accident in early 2011 which has sidelined him since then.
Kubica, 27, fell on an icy road in Italy last week and fractured his right tibia which was also broken in last year's incident.
The autosport report said the leg fracture should not extend the rehabilitation process because that depends mainly on nerve regrowth in his right arm and hand.
Kubica is without a team and last raced for Lotus-Renault. Ferrari are reportedly interested in him.
