Hamilton sets pace at first free practise

New Delhi - Lewis Hamilton on Friday had the distinction of being the first driver to set an official fastest lap at the Budd International Circuit on the outskirts of New Delhi.
The McLaren driver posted a time of one minute 26.836 seconds for a lap on the 5.137km Buddh International Circuit in Friday's first free practise session.
The inaugural Indian Grand Prix will be raced on the track on Sunday, with a second free practise session later Friday and the qualifying on Saturday.
World champion Sebastian Vettel, who has already secured his second title even though there are still three races remaining, posted the second-fastest time - 0.580 seconds behind, while his Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber was a further 0.012 behind.
Jenson Button in the second McLaren had the fourth-fastest time, followed by the Mercedes duo of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.
