Vettel offers to pay for damaged wing

Suzuka, Japan - Newly-crowned two-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has offered to pay for a wing replacement which helped him on his way to his second straight Formula One title Sunday.
Vettel damaged the front wing in the first practice session for the Japanese Grand Prix on Friday morning.
The Red Bull team flew in a replacement from its factory in Milton Keynes, England to Suzuka, with the key part arriving just under half an hour before qualifying Saturday.
The 24-year-old German then went on to claim his 12th pole position of the season, which in turn helped him gain third place behind winner Jenson Button in Sunday's race and clinch the 2011 title.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said the gesture was typical of Vettel as 'a team player.'
The bill would about 120,000 euros (160,000 dollars), according to former world champion Niki Lauda. Vettel's earnings have been reported in Germany at around 16 million euros this season.
