Jul 30, 2011, 10:20 GMT
Budapest - World champion Sebastian Vettel dominated the final practice session for the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix after mechanics worked into the early hours of Saturday on his Red Bull car.
Vettel clocked 1 minute 21.168 seconds on the 4.381km Hungaroring course to rank ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso (1:21.469) and Jenson Button in a McLaren (1:21.639).
Lewis Hamilton, the winner of last weekend's German Grand Prix and fastest in the first two Hungarian practice sessions on Friday, was seventh on 1:22.667 minutes.
The Red Bull team worked long hours on Vettel's car after the German had to settle for fifth on Friday and missed the podium for the first time in the season in fourth place at the German race.
Vettel tops the championship with 216 points from his team-mate Mark Webber (139), Hamilton (134), Alonso (130) and Button (109).
Qualifying was scheduled for later Saturday and the race is on Sunday.
