Berlin - Former world champion Fernando Alonso has put pressure on his Ferrari team to do better in their next races.
'We have to catch up and we cant afford to lose too much time. Especially as the other teams will not be sitting back and doing nothing,' the Spaniard wrote in his blog.
Alonso finished far off the podium in the first three races of the season and as fifth in the championships standings with 26 points is already 42 points behind the leading Sebastian Vettel.
'We have to work very hard to improve in all areas,' the Ferari star who was beaten in the last two races by his team-mate Felipe Massa, said.
Alonso said that he had confidence in the team and that everybody in the Ferrari factory was very hard at work. 'I can feel that everybody is eager to bounce back.'
