Oct 18, 2007, 15:38 GMT
Sao Paulo - World championship leader Lewis Hamilton and defending champion Fernando Alonso, both of McLaren-Mercedes, have made their peace ahead of Sunday's Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
'We never had problems with each other, we are fighting on track but outside the track we had very good relationship from day one,' Spaniard Alonso told the official press conference in Sao Paulo.
Briton Hamilton, in turn, was also conciliatory. 'I think (the relationship) is as good as ever,' he said. 'I think we have got on quite well this year despite what the media have said.'
Both admitted that calculations will play a key role in the mental preparation of the Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit, in Sao Paulo.
Hamilton will start the last race in the season with 107 points in the drivers' standings. Alonso is four points behind, while Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen is on 100 points and still has a shot at then title.
The last time three drivers arrived at the last race of the season with chances to be world champion was in 1986.
