Hamilton cleared of any wrong-doing
Oct 5, 2007, 14:36 GMT
Shanghai - Motorsport's governing body FIA on Friday cleared championship leader Lewis Hamilton of any wrong-doing during last Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.
A three-person FIA commission found that Hamilton had not breached regulations during a safety-car phase during the race.
Earlier Red Bull driver Mark Webber and Torro Rosso's Sebastian Vettel had claimed that they had crashed after Hamilton braked suddenly and veered to the right.
As a result Hamilton retains the 107 points he has and can win the drivers' championship on Sunday at the CHinese Grand Prix.
