Hamilton edges McLaren team-mate Alonso for pole

Montreal, Canada - Britain's Lewis Hamilton Saturday grabbed pole position for McLaren ahead of team-mate Fernando Alonso for Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix.
BMW driver Nick Heidfeld was on the second row in third place, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen fourth and team-mate Felipe Massa fifth.
Hamilton posted 1 minute 15.707 seconds on the 4.361-kilometre Gilles Villeneuve circuit, to finish 0.456 seconds faster than world champion Alonso of Spain.
Alonso and Hamilton are level at the top of the drivers' standings with 38 points apiece followed by Ferrari drivers Massa of Brazil and Raikkonen of Finland on 33 and 23 points respectively.
