Villeneuve quits GPDA in protest over Schumacher
Jun 11, 2006, 14:44 GMT
Silverstone - Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve of Canada withdrew on the weekend from the Formula One driver's association GPDA because Michael Schumacher remains a director of the body despite recent controversy.
Villeneuve said that Schumacher should no longer be tolerated as one of three GPDA directors after a manoeuvre from Monaco two weeks ago in which he allegedly intentionally obstructed other drivers during qualifying.
GPDA Drivers met Friday with Schumacher's antics also on the agenda, but no one reportedly asked Schumacher to quit.
Villeneuve has in the past also not always been in the GPDA.

Schumacher has a history of doing things to stop competitors. It's about time people started to realise it a stop whining about how great Ferrari is. Michael cheated and got caught. Again. He shouldn't be believed any more.
at least Jacques has the guts to speak out, something the others won't do.
The idiot is you blind people who can't see when a guy cheats. F1 is supposed to be a gentleman's sport, and above all the crap that Michael does. He doesn't need to stoop this low. Get a life all you Ferrari fans with blinders on.
