South Africa pile 258/8 against the West Indies

Jaipur, Nov 2 (IANS) South Africa scored 258 for eight wickets in 50 overs against the West Indies in the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy here Thursday. The South Africans rode on brilliant innings of 77 by Herschelle Gibbs and A.B. de Villiers's 46 after captain Graeme Smith won the toss and elected to bat. For the West Indies, Jerome Taylor, Dwayne Bravo and Marlon Samuels picked up two wickets each. © 2006 Indo-Asian News Service
