South Africa win toss, opt to bat

Mohali, Oct 27 (IANS) South Africa won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in a do-or-die match of the ICC Champions Trophy match here Friday.

Both the teams made a change each. Pakistan dropped Rana Naved-ul Hasan and included all rounder Yasir Arafat, while South Africa dropped spinner Robin Peterson and included medium pacer Charles Langeveldt.

South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Jacques Kallis, Mark Boucher (wicket-keeper), Boeta Dippenaar, Herschelle Gibbs, AB De Villiers, Justin Kemp, Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock and Charles Langeveldt

Pakistan: Younis Khan (captain), Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik, Mohammed Yousuf, Mohammed Hafeez, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal (wicket-keeper), Shahid Afridi, Yasir Arafat, Rao Iftikar Anjum and Umar Gul

Umpires: Billy Bowden (New Zealand) and Mark Benson (England)

Third umpire: Steve Bucknor (West Indies)

Match referee: Ranjan Madugalle (Sri Lanka)
