Hamilton, ON - Troy Westwood hit four field goals and totaled 16 points as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers crushed the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, 34-4.
Kevin Glenn went 19-for-32 for 240 yards and a touchdown while Terrence Edwards had five catches for 81 yards and a score for the Blue Bombers (7-3-1), who have won four of their last five contests.
Casey Printers made his debut for the Tiger-Cats (1-10) and went 17-for-28 for 144 yards. He signed a four-year deal with the team last week.
Hamilton has dropped its last five games.
The Tiger-Cats got on the scoreboard first on a single from Nick Setta.
However, the Blue Bombers took a 7-1 lead on a 26-yard touchdown reception to from Glenn to Edwards with just 2:13 to play in the first.
Westwood's 17-yard field goal just 1:16 into the second staked Winnipeg to a 10-1 advantage.
Gavin Walls recovered a fumble from Anthony Davis and took it into the end zone from 26 yards out to give Winnipeg a 17-1 lead 3:44 into the second.
A single and a 40-yard field goal from Westwood gave Winnipeg a 21-1 lead before Setta hit a 29-yard field goal with a little over two minutes left in the first half to make it a 21-4 game.
However, the Blue Bombers got the points back on a 23-yard field goal from Westwood as time expired in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Westwood missed a 54-yard field goal and Jo Jo Walker attempted to return it, but he fumbled the ball in the end zone and Mike Mahony recovered it to give Winnipeg a 31-4 lead.
A Westwood 12-yard field goal with under three minutes to play accounted for the final score.
