Calgary, AB - Henry Burris completed 14-of-23 passes for 336 yards and five touchdowns, as Calgary routed Saskatchewan, 44-22, in a Week 12 West Division battle from McMahon Stadium.
Nikolas Lewis caught five balls for 149 yards and a touchdown for the Stampeders (6-4-1). Jeremaine Copeland added 111 yards on three catches and two scores.
Ken-Yon Rambo and Randy Chevrier also had TD catches, and Joffrey Reynolds gained 154 yards on 23 carries.
Kerry Joseph completed just 12-of-23 passes for 144 yards and one pick, and also ran for a touchdown before leaving the game prior to the start of the fourth for the Roughriders (7-4). Marcus Crandell threw for 127 yards and a score, completing 13-of-18 attempts in relief.
Wes Cates rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, and Andy Fantuz caught four balls for 48 yards and a TD.
After T.J. Stancil picked off Burris on the opening drive of the third quarter, the Roughriders came within 28-15 on their subsequent drive as Cates ran in from two yards out.
Copeland erased any momentum the Riders might have gained, when he hauled in an 84-yard pass from Burris for a 35-15 game just two plays later.
Sandro DeAngelis hit from 24 yards later in the third for a 38-15 game, then booted a 16-yarder early in the fourth.
Crandell led the Riders in the fourth, and a 10-yard touchdown strike to Fantuz pulled the visitors within 41-22, then Saskatchewan tried an onside kick, which the Stampeders recovered.
The home team responded with another DeAngelis field goal, a 33-yard make which brought its lead to 44-22 and closed out the game.
Calgary scored on its first possession, as Burris rolled right and hit Rambo inside the near-right pylon for a 21-yard TD pass.
A Saskatchewan single came when Jamie Boreham booted a punt out of the end zone, but the Stampeders led by six after one quarter.
On the following drive, which spanned the first and second quarters, Calgary took 10 plays to go 87 yards, ending with Copeland's eight-yard catch for a score.
Cates' 49-yard rumble on the Riders next march set up the visitors with a first-and-goal, but Brian Clark picked off a Joseph pass in the end zone intended for Fantuz. Burris turned around on the first play and hit Lewis for an 85-yard catch-and-run down the left sideline to make it 21-1.
Chevrier's one-yard TD catch then boosted Calgary to a 28-1 advantage, but the Riders came back on an 11-yard Joseph run with less than a minute to play which made it 28-8 at the half.
