Montreal, QC - Jarrett Payton rushed 21 times for 119 yards and three touchdowns as the Montreal Alouettes regained first place with a 32-14 victory over the British Columbia Lions.
Marcus Brady completed 13-of-21 passes for 300 yards while filling in for injured Alouettes quarterback Anthony Calvillo, as Montreal avenged a loss to BC just nine days ago.
Elijah Thurmon hauled in five passes for 91 yards to lead the Montreal receiving corps.
The Alouettes (6-4) remain a point behind Winnipeg in the CFL's Eastern Division, after the Blue Bombers defeated Saskatchewan, 34-15.
Lions quarterback Jarious Jackson was 16-for-26 passing with one touchdown, but was also intercepted once, and finished with 222 total yards through the air.
Joe Smith rushed 16 times for 78 yards for the Lions (6-3-1), who remain in second in the Western Division behind the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
After Paul McCallum and Damon Duval traded field goals to open the scoring, Jackson led BC on a touchdown drive that ended in a 14-yard connection with Cory Rodgers.
Montreal then answered with a lengthy offensive possession that culminated in the first of Payton's three scoring plunges, this one from two yards out.
McCallum booted another field goal from 14 yards out late in the second to give BC a 13-12 lead heading into the locker room.
But the Alouettes dominated the scoring in the third to take control, driving for a Payton score just under five minutes into the half, and then moving the ball for Duval field goals of 28 and 14 yards.
Montreal finished the scoring and sealed the win when Payton rumbled in from a yard out with 3:01 remaining.

Prior to the game, Montreal acquired quarterback Mike McMahon from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a future draft pick...Montreal lost slotback Ben Cahoon to a rib injury in the second quarter; the CFL leader in receptions was injured by Barron Miles on the first play from scrimmage, but remained in the game until the second quarter, making a 43-yard catch that set up Duval's first field goal.
