Calgary, Alberta - Jarious Jackson threw for two second- half touchdowns as the British Columbia Lions beat the Calgary Stampeders, 32-27.
Jackson, a Notre Dame product, went 3-for-7 for 44 yards in relief of starting quarterback Buck Pierce, who was 7-for-14 for 74 yards with an interception in the first half for the Lions (5-0), who remain the only unbeaten team in the CFL.
Joe Smith rushed for 112 yards on 16 carries with one touchdown in the win.
Henry Burris threw for 423 yards, completing 22-of-44 passes and two touchdowns but was intercepted twice. Nikolas Lewis caught six passes for 128 yards for the Stampeders (2-3), who lost for the first time in three home games.
BC got on the board in the first quarter, when with just under 6 1/2 to go Burke Dales conceded in the end zone and Paul McCallum added a 37-yard field goal with just under four minutes to play in the frame.
The Lions pushed their lead to 8-0 just nine seconds into the second quarter after settling for a McCallum 19-yard field-goal.
Sandro DeAngelis' 30-yard field-goal put the Stampeders on the board with just over 10 1/2 minutes to go until halftime, but BC got the points right back with another McCallum field goal, this one a 29-yarder with just over 6 1/2 minutes remaining in the stanza.
Calgary cut its deficit to 11-10 with 2:22 left before the half when Burris and Rob Cote connected on a 20-yard touchdown pass and tied the game six seconds later with a single.
The Lions went ahead 18-11 when Jackson found Tony Simmons over the middle for a 28-yard touchdown with just under 10 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter and extended the lead when Smith scored on a 38-yard run, boosting BC to a 25-11 lead with just under five minutes left in the third frame.
Calgary's field goal, a DeAngelis 26-yarder, with 11:40 left in the fourth quarter cut the Lions lead to 25-14.
With 6:04 left to play Burris hooked up with Jermaine Copeland on a 36-yard touchdown pass to pull the Stampeders within 25-21.
British Columbia, though, picked off a Burris pass and scored on the ensuing possession. Jackson found Cory Rodgers for a 15-yard touchdown pass with 2:58 remaining.
Burris scampered into the end zone from three yards out with 1:20 left. The Stampeders, in an attempt to pull within a field goal, went for two but Burris' pass attempt to Marc Boerigter over the middle was incomplete.
Calgary failed an onsides kick attempt.

Jackson was originally the third-string quarterback but injuries to No. 1 Dave Dickenson and backup Pierce have thrust him into a starting role...Burris, a Temple product, also lost two fumbles.
