Toronto, ON - Hamilton Tiger-Cats running back Jesse Lumsden and Winnipeg Blue Bombers linebacker Barrin Simpson were among the CFL's top players for Week 4 of the 2007 season.
Lumsden earned offensive honors after rushing for a career high 158 yards on 11 carries in a loss to the BC Lions last Thursday. For the game, Lumsden totaled 226 all-purpose yards.
Simpson led Winnipeg to a 20-18 victory over the Montreal Alouettes by forcing a fumble and registering eight tackles, including an important third-and-goal stop in the fourth quarter.
Jason Armstead of the Saskatchewan Roughriders was named CFL Special Teams Player of the Week following his 90-yard punt return touchdown in a 21-20 Roughriders loss to the Edmonton Eskimos. Armstead finished the game with 118 yards on four punt returns.
