Toronto, ON - Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Kerry Joseph and Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end Gavin Walls were among the Canadian Football League's Players of the Week for the second week of the season. They were joined by Edmonton Eskimos safety Barron Miles and defensive end Brent Johnson.
Joseph, the Offensive Player of the Week, completed 17 of 29 passes for 244 yards, with one interception and four touchdowns as the Roughriders cruised to a 49-8 victory over Calgary. Joseph also added three carries for 34 yards.
Walls, the Defensive Player of the Week, recorded five tackles, including two quarterback sacks, and returned a fumble for five yards in Winnipeg's 32-23 victory over Montreal.
Miles earned Special Teams honors for partially blocking a punt in Edmonton territory. Miles' efforts put the Lions in great field position that helped set up a BC touchdown.
Johnson recorded three tackles, including two sacks, against the Eskimos on Friday night to take Canadian Player of the Week honors.
