Eskimos re-sign Mitchell; sign WR Stamps

Edmonton, Alberta - The Edmonton Eskimos re-signed slotback Mookie Mitchell to a one-year deal and signed rookie wide receiver Fred Stamps on Tuesday.
Mitchell, an 11-year CFL veteran, started 15 games for the Eskimos and caught 70 passes for 892 yards and one touchdown. In his third year with the team, he had four games with 100-plus yards receiving, including a 161-yard performance against Winnipeg on Canada Day.
The 6-0, 188-pound Stamps from Louisiana-Lafayette spent time with both the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.
