CFL fines Argos' Bruce
Nov 14, 2006, 23:35 GMT
Toronto, ON - The Canadian Football League fined Toronto slotback Arland Bruce III an undisclosed amount for comments made following the Argonauts' playoff loss to Montreal on Sunday.
The league handed down the fine on Tuesday, saying the amount of the fine will not be disclosed nor will any additional comment be made by the league.
The discipline comes two days after Bruce accused the CFL referees of being racist and taking bribes. Bruce was fined by Toronto Monday for his comments.
The Argonauts were defeated by the Montreal Alouettes, 33-24, in the East Division final.
Bruce was the league's second-leading receiver this season with 77 catches for 1,370 yards and 11 touchdowns.
