Lions place seven players on All-Star team

Toronto, ON - The B.C. Lions placed a league-high seven players on the Canadian Football League All-Star team, which was announced on Tuesday.
British Columbia placed five players on the defensive side of the All-Star club, including defensive end Brent Johnson, defensive tackle Tyrone Williams, linebacker Otis Floyd, defensive back Korey Banks and safety Barron Miles.
Offensively, B.C. wide out Geroy Simon and tackle Rob Murphy made the squad. Simon was this year's only unanimous selection.
Calgary and Winnipeg each placed five players on the All-Star team.
Representing the Stampeders are running back Joffrey Reynolds, guard Jay McNeil, place kicker Sandro DeAngelis, linebacker Brian Clark and cornerback Coby Rhinehart.
Selected from the Blue Bombers was receiver Milt Stegall, running back Charles Roberts, defensive tackle Doug Brown, linebacker Barrin Simpson and special teamer Albert Johnson III.
Saskatchewan, which plays B.C. in the West Final on Sunday, had four players selected. Those players are tackle Gene Makowsky, center Jeremy O'Day, defensive end Fred Perry and defensive back Eddie Davis.
Toronto was next with three players chosen. Representing the Argonauts will be wide out Arland Bruce III, punter Noel Prefontaine and corner back Byron Parker.
Toronto plays Montreal Sunday in the East Final. The Alouettes had just one player picked for the All-Star tilt, guard Scott Flory.
Rounding out the team is Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray and receiver Jason Tucker.
