Toronto, ON - Calgary Stampeders running back Joffrey Reynolds earned CFL Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in the Stampeders' 43-9 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last weekend.
Reynolds was dominant, finishing the game with 21 carries for 162 yards and three receptions for 55 yards.
Otis Floyd, linebacker for the B.C. Lions, was named Defensive Player of the Week after leading a defense that registered 12 sacks against the Montreal Alouettes, the second highest game total in CFL history behind the 1993 Toronto Argonauts' 13. Floyd finished the game with three tackles, a pair of sacks, one forced fumble and a pass knockdown.
Defensive lineman Robert Brown of the Edmonton Eskimos received Lineman of the Week honors. In a loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Brown had two tackles and three sacks, giving him nine on the season for the third most in the CFL. He is the second Eskimo lineman to be given the honor in as many weeks.
Kick Returner DaVon Fowlkes of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats became the second player this season to return a punt for a major in only his second game in the CFL. Fowlkes returned a Sean Fleming punt 86 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter of the Tiger-Cats' victory over Edmonton to earn Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
