Toronto, ON - B.C. Lions backup quarterback Buck Pierce shined against the Montreal Alouettes on September 1, tossing three touchdown passes to earn CFL Player of the Week honors.

Defensive lineman Tyrone Williams had seven tackles in that contest to take home Lineman of the Week honors.
Defensive back Byron Parker of the Toronto Argonauts, meanwhile, was named Defensive Player of the Week thanks to a stellar performance against Hamilton. Parker returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns and added two tackles during Toronto's 40-6 win over the Tiger-Cats.
Lastly, Calgary kick returner J.R. Ruffin returned three kickoffs for 81 yards against Edmonton to be named the week's top special teams player.
