Joseph leads Roughriders past Blue Bombers

Regina, MB - Kerry Joseph threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for two more as Saskatchewan pasted Winnipeg, 39-12, at Mosaic Stadium.
Joseph finished 12-of-27 for 207 yards and also picked up 48 yards on the ground on seven carries. Corey Grant and Kenton Keith each hauled a touchdown for the Roughriders (6-5), who have won their last three contests.
Kevin Glenn completed 12-of-29 passes for 168 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Milt Stegall scored the lone touchdown for the Blue Bombers (5-6), who dropped their fourth consecutive game.
Following a Winnipeg single, Joseph plunger in from a yard out to give Saskatchewan a 7-1 lead midway through the first quarter. A Winnipeg field goal cut the lead to 7-4, but a 10-yard touchdown dash by Joseph put the Roughriders on top 14-4 after the opening quarter.
Joseph got the job done through the air with 5:21 to play in the second as he hooked up with Grant for a 38-yard touchdown to give Saskatchewan a 21-4 edge. Glenn found Stegall from eight yards out to pull the Blue Bombers to within 10, 21-11, with 2:07 to go in second frame. Another Winnipeg single made it a 21-12 game. However, Joseph tossed his second TD pass of the game with 28 seconds left in the half, a 31-yard strike to Keith, giving the Roughriders a 28-12 lead at the half.
Saskatchewan scored the lone points in the third quarter on a single and a field goal and took a 32-12 lead into the final stanza.
Shermar Bracey found his way into the end zone from six yards out early in the fourth for the Roughriders to cap the scoring.
Game Notes
Winnipeg turned the ball over three times while Saskatchewan did not commit a miscue.
The Roughriders outgained the Blue Bombers, 387-276.
