Aug 25, 2006, 3:05 GMT

Calgary, AB - Henry Burris tossed three touchdown passes to lead Calgary to a 41-23 win over Montreal at Percival Molson Stadium.

Burris finished 18-for-33 for 285 yards and threw one interception. Ken Yon Rambo hauled in four passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns, while Jeremaine Copeland caught six balls for 61 yards and score for the Stampeders (6-4) who took both games this season with Montreal.

Anthony Calvillo connected on 23-of-36 passes for 289 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Thyron Anderson scored the lone touchdown for the Alouettes (7-3), who have dropped three straight after opening the year with seven consecutive wins.

After a Montreal field goal, Joffrey Reynolds plunged in from a yard out to put the Stampeders up 7-3 midway through the first quarter. Damon Duval connected on his second field goal for Montreal in the final minute of the first before Calgary opened the second quarter with a pair of Sandro DeAngelis field goals, giving Calgary a 13-6 edge.

Montreal scored 10 points in the final 1:34 of the first half to take a 16-13 lead into the locker room. Calvillo found Anderson from four yards out before another short field goal right before the half gave the Alouettes the lead.

Calgary came out firing in the second half, however, as Burris hooked up with Rambo for a 10-yard touchdown and later in the frame, Burris found Copeland for a three-yard TD strike. Montreal could only muster a single and a field goal in the frame, and trailed 27-20 heading into the final stanza.

A pair of Calgary field goals gave the Stampeders a 33-20 cushion midway through the fourth, before Montreal answered with a field goal of their own to cut the lead to 10 points. The Stampeders put the game away with 5:18 to go when Burris zipped a pass to Rambo, who split two defenders and galloped all the way to end zone. The play covered 60 yards and put Calgary up 40-23. The Stampeders added a single on the last play of the game to cap the scoring.
