Calgary, AL - The Calgary Stampeders have signed running back Joffrey Reynolds and kicker Sandro DeAngelis to contract extensions. The long- term deals take each player through the 2009 season, assuming the options are exercised for that year.
Since joining the Stampeders, Reynolds has put up impressive numbers with 427 rushes for 2,617 yards and 11 touchdowns in 30 regular season games. Reynolds has 90 carries for 667 yards and one TD this season.
'Since joining the Stampeders back in 2004 I've been extremely happy to be a part of the Red and White,' Reynolds said. 'It's a great feeling when you know the organization is committed to you and I am looking forward to helping contribute to our offence in various capacities.'
Reynolds had the second-highest rushing total in the CFL last season with 1,437 yards.
DeAngelis started the 2006 season by converting 17 of his first 18 field goal tries. He currently leads the CFL with 91 points.
'My decision to sign is indicative of how great an organization, group of guys and city we have here in Calgary,' DeAngelis said. 'I truly enjoy coming to work each day and being a Calgary Stampeder. I'm looking forward to calling Calgary home for the next few years.'
