Two Bombers earn July CFL honors

Toronto, ON - Winnipeg Blue Bombers slotback Milt Stegall and defensive end Ron Warner were each honored by the CFL for their play in the month of July.
Stegall earned Offensive Player of the Month after catching 50 passes for 856 yards and four touchdowns through seven games. Those numbers include a 254- yard performance against Edmonton. Stegall is just four touchdowns away from tying George Reed and Mike Pringle for the all-time lead with 137.
Warner, meanwhile, was named Lineman of the Month. The end has five sacks and 13 tackles through seven games while helping a defense that is ranked first in the league against the rush.
Barron Miles of the B.C. Lions earned Defensive Player of the Month honors. Miles, a three-time All-Star has six interceptions, 20 tackles and two forced fumbles so far this season.
Rounding out the monthly awards is Sandro DeAngelis, who was awarded the Special Teams Player of the Month award. DeAngelis has a league-high 91 total points off 26-of-30 field goal attempts made, 11-of-11 converts and two singles.
Honorable mentions this month include Winnipeg's Barrin Simpson (defensive player) and Tom Canada (lineman).
