Calzaghe overcomes Bika to retain IBF, WBO titles

Manchester, England - Brit Joe Calzaghe maintained his IBF and WBO super middleweight titles with a unanimous decision over Sakio Bika at the M.E.N Arena.Calzaghe received two scores of 117-110 while winning on the third card 116-111 to record his 19th defense of his WBO title and first of the IBF title, which he won in March.The victory moved Calzaghe to a perfect 42-0 with 31 KO's, while Bika fell to 20-2-2 with 13 KO's. The England native held on to win the fight despite suffering a cut above his eye in the fourth round.Also, fellow Brit Enzo Maccarinelli retained his WBO cruiserweight title with a TKO over Mark Hobson in the first round.© 2006 The Sports Network
