Aug 28, 2011, 11:03 GMT
Daegu, South Korea - Usain Bolt shut down early as in the heats and easily qualified for the 100 metres final at the world athletics championships on Sunday.
The Jamaican world and Olympic champion eased up some 70m into the semi-final, clocking 10.05 seconds into the decider scheduled for 1145 GMT.
Countryman Yohan Blake was the fastest qualifier with 9.95 seconds, with Nesta Carter completing a Jamaican trio for the final while rivals United States only managed to get Walter Dix through.
Former champion Kim Collins of St Kitts and Nevis, Frenchmen Jimmy Vicault and Christophe Lemaitre as well as Daniel Bailey of Antigua complete the lineup.
Former European champion Dwain Chambers of Britain was disqualified for a false start in his semi-final and American ex-champion Justin Gatlin, back from a four-year doping ban, failed to qualify.
The four fastest men of the year, Jamaicans Asafa Powell and Steve Mullings, and Americans Tyson Gay and Michael Rodgers, were not competing in Daegu for injury and doping suspension reasons.
