Bydgoszcz, Poland - Joseph Ebuya and Emily Chebet were unstoppable in the senior races as Kenya won all eight titles on offer on Sunday at the cross-country running world championships.
The Kenyans also won all medals on offer in the junior races and took the four team titles.
Ebuya won the men's race over 12 kilometres in 33 minutes flat from Teklemariam Medhin of Eritrea (33:06) and Uganda's Moses Ndiema Kipsiro (33:10).
Title holder Gebregziabher Gebremariam managed no better than 10th and was the best Ethiopian.
In the 8km women's race, Chebet came from behind to beat compatriot favourite Linet Chepkwemoi Masai by one second in 24:19 minutes. Meselech Melkamu was third for Ethiopia in 24:26 while compatriot three-time winner Tirunesh Dibaba had to settle for fourth.
The last Kenyan men's and women's double was 16 years ago from William Sigei and Hellen Chepngeno.
The junior races were all-Kenyan affairs with 1-2-3-4 finishes for the nation. Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku topped the men's race and the Mercy Cherono the women's event.
