Lornah Kiplagat sets new half marathon world record

Udine, Itay - Kenyan-born Lornah Kiplagat established a new half marathon world record on Sunday, winning the half marathon world championships in the Italian city of Udine in a time of one hour 6.25 minutes. Kiplagat, who now competes for the Netherlands, beat the old record of South African Elana Meyer by 19 seconds.
