Ghanaian sprinter Zakari given two-year doping ban

Hamburg - Ghanaian sprint star Aziz Zakari has been given a two-year doping ban after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.
The sport's controlling body IAAF said that the 30-year-old tested positive at a Grand Prix meeting in the Senegalese capital of Dakar on April 29.
Zakari, who finished eighth at the last world championships, has accepted the ban, which runs till June 8. The African will be able to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
His personal-best stands at 9.99 seconds for the 100 metres, while his season-best is 10.14 seconds.
