Alice (Milla Jovovich) returns in this third sequel to Resident Evil. This time Russell Mulcahy is in the director’s chair. The human race is on the verge of extinction since the Umbrella Corporation was unable to contain the destructive T-virus (despite the nuclear annihilation of Raccoon City in Apocalypse).

Alice and a group of ragtag survivors roam the wastelands of what is left of the United States trying to avoid the zombies. However, the Umbrella Corporation is still looking for Alice to complete their nefarious schemes and the ragtag group of survivors is trying to find sanctuary in what’s left of the world. I enjoyed the first film, but thought the next one was a bit below it. I’m not sure if this third film will continue the decline or start back up the mountain again. The soundtrack features a score by Charlie Clouser as well as music from various artists. As you can imagine, most of the music is high octane, as you really don’t run from killer zombies to a lullaby. The music gives me some hope that the film will be good, but I won’t know that till I see the finished product. Till then the soundtrack gives me some hope.
