Hannah Montana is a Disney Channel show that features Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus (his daughter). The show is about a Miley, a character with a dual life. Seems that she’s a huge tween rock star but in a effort to keep a normal life she wears a disguise onstage (a blond wig in the Clark Kent disguise mode) and only a few people know her secret.
This new DVD contains a 27-minute documentary called “Hannah Montana Backstage Secrets.”
Billy Ray appears on the show as her Dad and Manager Robbie Ray. You’ll notice a bit of a cheat since this is how I began my review of the first edition of the soundtrack. What can I say? I’m lazy. This new edition basically replicates the 13 tracks that were on the first release, but adds a bonus track of “Nobody’s Perfect” performed by Hannah Montana. They also change the DVD content, since the first release had 5 music videos.
This new DVD contains a 27-minute documentary called “Hannah Montana Backstage Secrets.” It’s basically a backstage look at her tour and show hosted by Miley Cyrus. There’s also a 3 minute live performance of “Nobody’s Perfect” and a 1 minute trailer for the Hannah Montana: Pop Star Profile DVD. The case contains a code to get a ‘This is Life’ ringtone, four pictures of Miley Cyrus (made to look like Polaroids with her having written on them), and the track listings.
If you’re a die hard Hannah fan then you’ll want to get this one for the new DVD material, but others might want to think about it since there’s only really one new track on the CD side of things. Too bad they just didn’t make the DVD available for those that don’t want to upgrade for one song. If you’re using mom and dad’s credit card then buy away.
