Soundtrack Review: ‘Catch and Release’

Jennifer Garner stars in this movie in which her character’s fiancé is killed right before the wedding and she moves in with his two best friends (Kevin Smith and Sam Jaeger). Also around is a romantic interest in the form of her fiancé’s other friend (Timothy Olyphant).

The soundtrack is a mix of hip music, at least to my untrained ear. The tracks include “Razor” by the Foo Fighters, “My Drug Buddy” by The Lemonheads, “A Nest for Two” by Blinker the Star, “Mornings Eleven” by The Magic Numbers, “Pills” by Gary Jules, “Electrified and Ripe” by Steve Durand, “The Winding Staircase” by New Radiant Storm King, “Sky Signal” by Audible, “Leaving the Ground” by Peter Maclaggan, “What if you” by Joshua Radin, “These 3 Sins” by Gomez, “Resistance” by Alaska!, “Let the Bad Times Roll” by Paul Westerberg, “Turning Blue” by The Swallows, “What I Done” by Andrew Rodriguez, “Soul Meets Body” by Death Cab for Cutie, and “There Goes the Fear” by Doves. I don’t know about the movie, but I did enjoy the soundtrack. For those that did like the movie then they’ll definitely want to pick up the soundtrack, but those looking for something hip musically (or Hollywood’s version of it) might also want to pick it up. ‘Catch and Release’ is now available at Amazon.
