I find it amusing that the Billy Elliot Musical soundtrack review got only 2 stars out of 5. I'm not angered or disappointed, just amused. I would be upset or disappointed if you gave it a 4 or even a 3. But a 2 just tells me you have no taste in music. There are shows playing in London or on Broadway that I am not a fan of, but I wouldn't call them bad just because I don't like them. Your choice of a 2 out of 5 however shows a great shortage of intellect and a sad overflow of opinion. Leave your opinions out of a review, and you will get more respect. Trash something just based on your own poor tastes, and the only thing that will be exposed as bad will be your talent as a reviewer.

wow, did the reviewer see the same show I just saw on Broadway? The same weekend I saw Billy Elliot I saw Wicked which Billy Elliot blew away..I cant remember any songs from Wicked because the Billy Elliot music is still stuck in my head. THis is a breath taking amazing show with amazing music, and the best dancing I have ever seen. I saw David Alvarez as Billy, wow. He is amazing. Please dont let this review discourage you from the soundtrack or seeing the show. I have seen a lot on Broadway and this is the best.

This has to be one of the best musicals on Broadway right now...and the music IS catchy and addictive. The only thing that must be remembered is that there is a language issue in almost every song...having seen the show, I can understand the use of the language but it really limits my ability to listen to the soundtrack. My older kids LOVE the music and really rotate thru 'favorite' songs. My younger kids try and grab bits and pieces from the album...Electricity is probably the 'safest' re: language. If you visit the homepage for Billy Elliot, there are some good video clips.
